CAUTION This email is from an external sender, be cautious with links and attachments.
Good morning,
To confirm, you are correct, the trees with a DBH less than 8" do not need a permit for removal.

Regarding the tree on your neighbors property, please have the neighboring property owner write a
letter or send an email authorizing you to remove the tree on their lot. I cannot give permission to
remove their tree without written consent.
Thanks,
Abrielle Genest

Subject: 397 Plaza and 394 9th St.
Hi Abrielle,
I am having the house at 397 Plaza taken down the week of May 5 and then I am having some trees
removed the next week. None of the trees I'm taking out at 397 (the 5" bay tree, the 7" Cherry Laurel
and the 7.5" Magnolia) are over 8" per the attached survey showing the tree locations by an arborist and
on the survey so there's no need for a permit. I'm keeping the 18" Water Oak, as well as the 12" and 20"
sabal palms.
I had the arborist look at the water oak in the neighbor's backyard that leans over my property. The
arborist believes this tree is dead and a hazard for the reasons he outlines. That tree will come out at
the same time the ones on my property are coming out, the week of May 11. I am in communication
with the property owner at 394 9th St and he is in agreement that the tree should be removed.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Allison Forsyth
