398 Skate Rd Arborist Letter 6.9.25 - 3 trees r

On May 29, 2025, 1 conducted an assessment of 5 trees at 398 Skate Rd, Atlantic Beach, FL,
numbered as 2, 3, 5, 9, and 10 on a Jackson Design Co. drawing.
#2 Maple Severe, large canker in the bole; dominant branch is dead; serious damage to the
anchor roots; tree is dying. Recommend removal.
#3 Viburnum This is not a true tree, but rather is a `tree-formed' (over grown) woody shrub.
Some of the branches already have been removed to allow only the 2 chosen branches to keep
growing; but the plant will continue to sprout branches from the ground and sides. The crotch of
the two `chosen' stems form a severe angle (V form) resulting in a weak union that will make the
plant more susceptible to splitting in a storm the higher it grows. Top height of such tree-formed
shrubs is 10 to 15 ft. This shrub, as it pertains here, is in the same category as the cactus bush.
#5 Chinese tallow A very invasive tree that is too close to the house. Branches can impact
the roof and the roots can impact the foundation. Recommend removal.
#10 Golden raintree Too close to house; branches can impact roof and roots can impact
foundation; bole (trunk) as it grows in diameter will impact the eves in the near future or can
impact the eves in a storm. Recommend removal.
#9 Crepe myrtle Tree is a healthy clone (`multi-stem').
