Tree Assessment
Live Oak Tree
The assessment below was performed in accordance with The Tree Risk Assessment
BMP 2nd Ed. 2017, and as trimming and pruning will not reduce the risk of failure to
persons and property to below moderate. The live oak tree should be considered for
removal.
The necessary removal of one 36” DBH live oak tree located on the left side of the
property line, due to visible severe trunk decay and assessed with mallet and probe on this
date today. The above live oak tree has extremely weak codominant large lead sections
overhanging the left corner of the home and utilities. The probability of failure is likely to
impact the structure and utilities severe. The live oak tree may fail within two to five
years under normal weather events. The live oak tree should be considered for removal.
Note: The live oak tree has been cut to property line on the neighbors side some time ago,
increasing the likelihood of failure to the above clients home.
