A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF $33,334.40 IN ADDITIONAL
FUNDS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF WATER SERVICES ON GARDEN
LANE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND
AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Department Capital Improvement Project PU2512
involves replacing the poly water services on Garden Lane and the 300 Block of 20'h Street; and
WHEREAS, on April 14, 2025, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 25-31
authorizing the expenditure of $91,364.57 with Gruhn May, Inc, for this project; and
WHEREAS, due to a formula error on the original quote, an additional $33,334.40 is
necessary via a change order to complete the project; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in the Public Utilities Fund for Project PU2512
in account 400-5504-533-6300, in the amount of $275,000.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as
follows:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes the expenditure of $33,334.40 in
additional funds from City's Public Utilities account 400-5504-533-6300 for the replacement of
the water services on Garden Lane.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute contracts
and purchase orders in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this
Resolution.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
