A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ISSUE A TASK AUTHORIZATION TO
CRAWFORD, MURPHY & TILLY, INC. FOR CONSTRUCTION
ENGINEERING AND INSPECTION SERVICES SUPPORTING THE AHERN
STREET ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN
ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, on November 18, 2025, staff received a scope and fee proposal from Crawford,
Murphy & Tilly, Inc. in the amount of $49,600.00 to provide construction engineering and inspection
services supporting construction of the Ahern Street Roadway Improvements Project; and
WHEREAS, the tasks included in the Scope and Fee proposal include Construction
Administration and Management, Resident Inspection of Construction and Recording & Reporting;
and
WHEREAS, the City has a Professional Engineering Services Agreement with Crawford,
Murphy & Tilly, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, funds for this design are budgeted in account 300-6020-572.63-00 under project
number PW2514 "Multi -Use Path Ahern -East."
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a Task
Authorization with Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc in the amount of $49,600.00 for professional
construction engineering and inspection services supporting construction of the Ahern Street Roadway
Improvements Project as described in Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. Scope and Fee proposal dated
November 18, 2025, and;
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to approve a Purchase
Order to Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. in the amount of $49,600.00 for said Task Authorization.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
