The assessment below was performed in accordance with the Tree Risk Assessment Best
Management Practice, 2nd Edition (2017). The water oak tree poses an unacceptable risk, and
trimming or pruning will not mitigate it. The removal is the only practical means of mitigating
its risk to below moderate levels.
1. Property Overview
The property is located at 2221 Barefoot Trace, Atlantic Beach, FL. 32233
RE#: 169463-0642
Species: Water oak tree DBH: 20”
Location: Front right side.
2. Observed Issues:
The 20” DBH water oak tree is visibly deceased and inundated with hypoxylon canker.
3. Recommendation:
The above water oak tree is an imminent high failure risk and should be removed immediately
to preserve persons and property.
