A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF A REPLACEMENT
GENERATOR FOR THE LAKESIDE LIFT STATION IN THE AMOUNT OF
$47,970 FROM GENERAC; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE
WITH AND AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the generator that serves as emergency backup power for the Lakeside Lift Station
is at the end of its service life and needs to be replaced; and
WHEREAS, City staff received four quotes for replacement generators; and
WHEREAS, the lowest quoted generator was $47,970 from Generac; and
WHEREAS, FY 2025-26 budget modifications have been submitted to reallocate $9,000 from
account 410-5506-535-6300 from Project PU2519 into Project PU2642; and
WHEREAS, upon execution of the budget modifications, sufficient funds will be available in
the Public Utilities Fund for this purpose in the amount of $49,000.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes in the amount of $47,970 to purchase the
replacement and installation of the generator from Generac.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby appropriates funds from City's Public Utilities Fund for
this purpose in Project PU2642.
Section 3. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute contracts and
purchase orders in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this Resolution;
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
