RESOLUTION NO. 25-110
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF A
REPLACEMENT GENERATOR FOR WELL #2R IN THE AMOUNT OF
$79,435 FROM GENERAL; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE
WITH AND AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF
THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the generator that serves as emergency backup power for Well #2R is costly to
maintain and has required extensive repairs and upkeep; and
WHEREAS, staff completed an evaluation of four competitive quotes for the replacement
generator, and recommends the selection of Generac as the best bidder, with a quoted cost of $79,435;
and
WHEREAS, FY 2025-26 budget modifications have been submitted to reallocate $10,000
from account 400-5502-533-6300 from Project PU2605 into Project PU2600; and
WHEREAS, upon execution of the budget modifications, sufficient funds will be available
in the Public Utilities Fund for this purpose in the amount of $80,000.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes the purchase and installation of a
replacement generator for Well #2R in the amount of $79,435 from Generac.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby appropriates funds from City's Public Utilities Fund
for this purpose in Project PU2600.
Section 3. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute contracts and
purchase orders in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this Resolution;
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
