The assessment below was performed in accordance with the Tree Risk Assessment Best
Management Practice, 2nd Edition (2017). The water oak tree poses an unacceptable risk, and
trimming or pruning will not mitigate it. The removal is the only practical means of mitigating
its risk to below moderate levels.
1. Property Overview
The property is located at 2221 Barefoot Trace, Atlantic Beach, FL. 32233
RE#: 169463-0642 Species: Water Oak Trees
DBH: 1. 20” Location: Front right side.
2. 20” Location Front left corner.
2. Observed Issues:
1. One 20” DBH water oak tree is visibly deceased and inundated with hypoxylon canker.
2. One 20” DBH water oak tree unacceptable visible decay to the trunk and root. The complete
loss of upper canopy.
3. Recommendation:
The above water oak trees is an imminent high failure risk and should be removed immediately
to preserve persons and property.
