A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
APPROVING THE 2026 ANNUAL SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT PROJECT;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACTS
AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS NECESSARY
TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the 2026 Annual Sidewalk Replacement Project has been identified as a priority
project in the 2026 City's Capital Improvements Plan; and
WHEREAS, Jax Utilities Management, Inc. has a current contract with the City of Jacksonville,
Contract #70280-23, that the City of Atlantic Beach can piggyback on to complete this project; and
WHEREAS, the project scope of work is to replace the sidewalks throughout the City as listed
in the attached proposal. All work will be performed in accordance with the contract documents. The
project is located along various streets throughout the City, including 3rd Street, Plaza, and Seminole
Road; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of $104,212.65 can be funded from Account #300-5002-541-63.00,
where there is currently $125,000.00 budgeted for Sidewalks — Throughout City as needed (Project
#PW2346).
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby approves the 2026 Annual Sidewalk Replacement
Project.
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the Contract
with Jax Utilities Management, Inc. and approve a Purchase Order to said vendor in the amount of
$104,212.65.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
