A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
ATLANTIC BEACH AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF A 2026 T -
MOBILE HOMETOWN GRANT APPLICATION UPON EXECUTION BY
THE MAYOR OR CITY MANAGER; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OR
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS AND DOCUMENTS ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Atlantic Beach applies for grants of various types; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach may delegate the authority
to sign grant applications; and
WHEREAS, when the City is selected for funding, the City must execute a grant agreement,
and only then are grant requirements binding; and
WHEREAS, the T -Mobile Hometown Grants program provides funding and resources to support
community -driven projects that enhance public spaces, improve quality of life, and promote economic
and social vitality in small towns and rural communities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Atlantic Beach is eligible to apply for grants under the T -Mobile
Hometown Grants program and, if awarded, receive grant funding for eligible community improvement
projects.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Commission of the City of Atlantic
Beach authorizes:
SECTION 1. The submittal of a 2026 T -Mobile Hometown Grant Program application upon
execution by the Mayor or City Manager.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and
adoption.
