Mr. Hegland,
At your request, I have inspected the 18" Red Bay tree on the left-hand side
of your house between you and your neighbor. This tree has been attacked
by the Red Bay Ambrosia Beetle which is an invasive species from China.
Once the tree is infected there is no cure and the tree is dead. I recommend
removal.
