The assessment below was performed in accordance with the Tree Risk Assessment Best
Management Practice, 2nd Edition (2017). The front live oak tree poses an unacceptable risk
and trimming or pruning will not mitigate it. The removal is the only practical means of
mitigating its risk to below moderate levels.
1. Tree(s) Overview and Defects:
Species: Live Oak Tree (Quercus Virginiana) Location: Front right DBH: 22”
The front right has unacceptable visible damage surrounding the paved areas, pronounced
over lean over the driveway area including the left side neighboring driveway combined with
very restricted root system covered by driveways, sidewalks and roadways. The roots are
affecting high voltage transformer boxes and utilities within the root zone.
2. Mitigation Options:
The above live oak tree, although healthy poses multiple hazards to persons and property, that
trimming and pruning will not reduce the risk to persons and properties to low, therefore, the
above tree can be considered for removal per pursuant to Florida Statute § 163.045.
