A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING MAINTENANCE FOR THE CENTRIFUGE; AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE
WITH AND AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Wastewater Treatment utilizes a centrifuge in the wastewater
treatment process; and
WHEREAS, the centrifuge rotating bowl/scroll unit requires regular equipment maintenance; and
WHEREAS, Staff reached out to the maintenance provider for a quote; and
WHEREAS, the provider, GEA Mechanical Equipment, returned a proposal to the Public Utilities
Department in the amount of $34,802.41; and
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as
follows:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby appropriates funds from City's Public Utilities Fund 410-
5508-435-4600 in the amount of $34,802.41.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute contracts and
purchase orders in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this Resolution.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
