RESOLUTION NO. 26-72
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING WATER SERVICE REPLACEMENTS FOR THE 1800 BLOCK
OF SEMINOLE ROAD; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS NECESSARY TO
EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Public Utilities CIP includes replacing fourteen water services in the 1800 block
of Seminole Road; and
WHEREAS, the water services have reached the end of their service life and also need to be
moved further away from the residential units to give city utilities staff easier access to the services and
meters; and
WHEREAS, Staff reached out to four city approved contractors for quotes; and
WHEREAS, three quotes were received, with Gruhn May, Inc. being the lowest quote at
$112,619.10; and
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as
follows:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby appropriates funds from City's Public Utilities Fund 400-
5504-533-6300 Project PU2622 in the amount of $112,619.10
Section 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute contracts and
purchase orders in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this Resolution.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
