A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, AWARDING
BID NO. 2526-12 FOR WATER TREATMENT PLANT #3 CHLORINATION
UPGRADE PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS
NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS RESOLUTION;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on April 22, 2026, four bids were received and opened for City Bid No. 2526-12,
Water Treatment Plant #3 Chlorination Upgrade Project; and
WHEREAS, the project consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to
demolish and remove the existing gas chlorine tanks, and all other equipment, and furnish and install two
(2) new 500 -gallon liquid chlorine storage tanks, and all necessary equipment to complete this conversion,
in accordance with the bid specifications and contract documents; and
WHEREAS, the lowest bidder, PBM Constructors, provided all of the required documents in its
bid submittal; and
WHEREAS, a budget modification was submitted to reallocate funds for this project from the
Public Utilities Project No. PU2611 in the amount of $200,000, and from the Public Utilities Project
PU2605 in the amount of $20,000, to bring the total account balance to $220,000.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes awarding Bid No. 2526-12 to PBM
Constructors in the amount of $210,000 to perform the work for said bid in accordance with the bid
specifications.
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby appropriates funds from the City's Public Utilities Fund
400-5502-6300 in Project PU2510 for this purpose.
SECTION 3. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute contracts and
purchase orders in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this Resolution.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
