A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT NEW MIXER FOR TANK #3;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS
AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS
NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, an inspection was performed on the mixer in tank #3 at the wastewater
treatment plant; and
WHEREAS, the mixer was recommended for replacement due its age and replacement
parts being difficult to obtain.; and
WHEREAS, Staff reached out to the supplier for the mixer, Ryan Herco Flow Solutions,
a sole source provider, to obtain a quote for $48,909.93; and
WHEREAS, the budget for this project is available in the Utilities Treatment account 410-
5508-535-5200, in Project PU2630 in the amount of $60,000; and
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes funding the purchase of this mixer in
the amount of $48,909.93 from account No. 410-5508-535-5200 from Project No. PU2630.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute contracts
and purchase orders in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this
Resolution.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
