A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AWARDING BID NO. 2526-15 MULTI-YEAR CONTRACT FOR BEACH
CLEANING SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE THE CONTRACT AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN
ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City advertised Bid No. 2526-15 Multi -Year Contract for Beach Cleaning
Services, and four bids were received and opened on August 5, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this contract is to service the beach areas and beach accesses as
described in the bid documents; and
WHEREAS, the bids ranged from $44,540 to $610,218 annually, with Atlantic
Beachcombers being the lowest bidder; and
WHEREAS, Atlantic Beachcombers is the current contractor for beach cleaning services,
and City staff have been satisfied with their performance; and
WHEREAS, the period of the contract for Beach Cleaning Services shall expire five (5)
years after the date of commencement, and the Contractors may cancel the contract at the end of the
Yd or 4h anniversary year, without cause, upon six (6) months prior written notification to the City;
and
WHEREAS, there is adequate funding in the Public Works Streets Contractual Services
account to cover the annual cost of this contract.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes awarding Bid No. 2526-15 to
Atlantic Beachcombers;
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the
contracts with the above-mentioned companies;
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
