A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AWARDING BID NO. 2526-16 MULTI-YEAR CONTRACT FOR
ELECTRICAL MOTORS & PUMPS REPAIR; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT AND PURCHASE ORDERS
IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City advertised Bid No. 2526-16 Multi -Year Contract for Electrical
Motors & Pumps Repair, and one bid was received and opened on August 5, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this contract is for the repair of electrical motors (single and
three-phase), pumps (water and sewer), valves, and mechanical repairs to various components of
the water and sewer treatment plants and lift stations of the City of Atlantic Beach; and
WHEREAS, Moline Electric Motor & Machine, Inc. submitted a bid price of $297.00,
based on an hourly rate for manpower and equipment of different labor classes; and
WHEREAS, Moline Electric Motor & Machine, Inc. is the current contractor for electrical
motors & pumps repair, and City staff have been satisfied with their performance; and
WHEREAS, the period of the contract for Electrical Motors & Pumps Repair shall expire
five (5) years after the date of commencement, and the Contractors may cancel the contract at the
end of the Yd or 4h anniversary year, without cause, upon six (6) months prior written notification
to the City; and
WHEREAS, adequate funding is budgeted for Electrical Motors & Pump Repairs within
the Water Distribution, Sewer Collection and Sewer Treatment accounts. These services are
utilized on an as -needed basis, for various locations and amounts. It is estimated that $125,000
would be utilized throughout each fiscal year to be charged to the combined accounts
appropriately.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes awarding Bid No. 2526-16 to
Moline Electric Motor & Machine, Inc.;
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the
contracts with the above-mentioned companies;
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
