A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
APPROVING THE WATER TREATMENT PLANTS #2 AND #3 ROOF
REPLACEMENTS PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE THE CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE
WITH AND AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, Water Treatment Plants #2 and #3 have been identified for roof replacements in
the 2026 Capital Improvements Plan; and
WHEREAS, five quotes were obtained from Apex Roofing & Contracting, All Pro Roofing and
Consulting, Monahan Roofing Contractors, Inc., Neligan Construction and Roofing, and Schultz
Roofing Company; and
WHEREAS, the lowest quote was from Monahan Roofing at a combined total of $52,000.00 for
roof replacements at both plants; and
WHEREAS, the second lowest quote from All Pro Roofing at a combined total of $76,325.00
provides the most favorable warranty period, along with gutters and downspouts at Water Treatment
Plant #2; and
WHEREAS, the budget for this project was initially established at $65,000.00. A budget
modification was submitted to reallocate funds from the Public Utilities Project PU2608 in the amount
of $22,500.00, increasing the total account balance for this project to $87,500.00; and
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby approves the Water Treatment Plants #2 and #3
Roof Replacements Project;
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the Contract
with All Pro Roofing and approve a Purchase Order to said vendor in the amount of $76,325.00;
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
