A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AWARDING BID 2526-14 MULTI-YEAR CONTRACT FOR LANDSCAPE
MAINTENANCE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
THE CONTRACT AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH
AND AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City advertised Bid No. 2526-14 Multi -Year Contract for Landscape
Maintenance, and five bids were received and opened on July 22, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this contract is to provide landscape maintenance service for
City Streets, City Parks and Common Areas, and Public Utilities Areas as described in the bid
documents; and
WHEREAS, the bids ranged from $184,800 to $321,300 annually, with Lawn Crafters
LLC being the lowest bidder; and
WHEREAS, City staff contacted the provided references, including the City of
Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Aviation Authority, and all were very pleased with Lawn
Crafters LLC's performance; and
WHEREAS, the period of the contract for Landscape Maintenance shall expire five (5)
years after the date of commencement, and the Contractors may cancel the contract at the end of
the 3' or 4' anniversary year, without cause, upon six (6) months prior written notification to the
City; and
WHEREAS, There is adequate funding in the Public Works Streets Contractual Services
account, Public Utilities Water Utility Contractual Services account, and Parks Contractual
Services account to cover the annual cost of this contract.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes awarding Bid No. 2526-14 to Lawn
Crafters LLC;
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the
contracts with the above-mentioned companies;
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
