Dear Sir or Madam:
Upon inspection of the property, I found a Sweet Gum tree that in my professional opinion
should be removed. The homeowners reached out to me after a large section of the tree broke, and
almost landed on the roof, at the listed property. The branch was half of the canopy of the tree.
After inspecting the branch, I found significant rot, where the limb attached to the main trunk of
the tree. After inspecting the tree, I found many of the remaining limbs in the same condition.
Also, the area where the limb broke, shows rot on the inside of the tree’s trunk. The tree is growing
between the home and a kid’s playground. The homeowners have small children, that frequently
use the playground. The tree is also growing close to the home, located at the listed property. The
tree is a high risk to the property, and the only way to reduce that risk to an acceptable level is to
remove the tree.
