The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) in partnership with the First Coast MPO is conducting a
Waterborne Transportation Feasibility Study to explore opportunities for commuting and tourism-related water
travel in Northeast Florida. A map of the study area is attached. An important aspect of the study is the formation
of a Regional Waterborne Advisory Committee (RWAC). This committee will consist of elected officials,
government agency representatives and related special interest group leaders to provide regional representation of
stakeholders within the study area. The RWAC will meet four times at key milestones during the 10-month study
to provide review, evaluation and feedback relative to study findings and recommendations. The first RWAC
meeting will be:
