02-15-74 v MINUTES OF THE ADVISORY PLANNING BOARD OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, HELD AT THE CITY HALL, FEBRUARY 15, 1974 AT 8 : 00 P.M. PRESENT: R. L. Wardrep Mrs. Jan Tierney Commissioner , F . W. Fogg City Manager, R. C. Vogel ABSENT: Mrs . Mazy Pace Mr . Glover Weiss The meeting was opened by the Chairman and the first item of discussion was the activity of the people residing in Royal Palms concerning dogs that roam the streets , turning over garbage cans and causing degregation of the appearance of the City. The Board recommended to the City Commission that steps be taken to alleviate this condition, i . e . by hiring and equiping a dog warden, increase licensing to $3 . 00 and any other action that would cause people to take better care of dogs and cats . The next item.was to recommend to the City Commission that the den$$ty of family units be reduced from 20 units per acre to 10 units per acre. The Board felt that this action would tend to improve the type of multi- family construction. There being no further business , the Chairman declared the meeting adjourned.
