12-17-74 v MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE ADVISORY PLANNING BOARD OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, HELD AT THE CITY HALL, DECEMBER 17, 1974, 8:00 P.M. PRESENT: Robert Wardrep - Chairman Jan Tierney Harold Mullins Mary W. Pace AND: William Fogg - City Commissioner R. C. Vogel - City Manager Plans for an off site drive-in banking facility for The Ocean State Bank were presented by James Burton and James Browne, to be located on the south side of Plaza, west of Jack Russell Park. The facility will offer only drive-in services. Mr. Burton established three (3) criteria: (1) To keep the non-commercial appearance of the area. (2) To get the project placed under Planned Unit Development. (3) To secure approval from the State Banking Committee. This will be a five (5) day a week operation with no business conducted except via drive-in windows to service cars, bicycles and walkers. Mr. Mullins moved that the Atlantic Beach Advisory Planning Board recommend that the City Commission approve that the plans for the Ocean State Bank be placed under P.U.D. It was seconded by Mrs. Jan Tierney and so passed. A motion was made by Mr. Wardrep that: Sidewalks shall be constructed on the south side of Plaza to run from Mayport Road on the west to Seminole Road on the east. It was seconded by Mrs. Tierney and so passed. Attention was called to the fact that one incumbent term on the Board is due for appointment for a term beginning January, 1975. Mrs. Pace also announced that due to an out of city move, her remaining two (2) year term position must have an appointment made. Respectfully submitted, Mary W. Pace Secretary chh
