Dear Mayor Wolfson:
Due to an unexpected and serious medical problem experienced by a family member, a
condition which will require my FL111 attention for some time, I will be stepping down
from my seat on the City of Atlantic Beach Commission.
The effective date of my resignation will be the date and hour upon which my
successor has been approved by the Commission per our Charter-. I fully anticipate this to
be at our next Commission meeting, this coming Mondav, October 22"`', 2007.
Therefore, I am requesting that you place my resignation and vote for n1y successor on
this coming Monday's meeting agenda. I Have notified both our City Manager and City
Clerl: of this request for the item to be placed immediately on the meeting agenda for
10/22/07.
Concurrently, I will be resigning my position as our Commission's representative on
the Northeast Florida Planning Council. I would ask that you also place on the upcoming
agenda for 10/22/07 any votes required to immediately replace a successor during that
meeting.
It leas been a great honor, truly, to have served with you and my fellow
Commissioners. While I step down with great regret, it is with absolute cei°tainty. Family
must come first.
Please see that these two items are immediately placed on the Commission meeting for
this Monday, October 22, 2007.
