MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH CITY COMMISSION
HELD AT CITY HALL ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 23, 1972 AT 8:00 P.M.
PRESENT: William S. Howell, Mayor-Commissioner
R. R. Rosborough, II
L. W. Minton, Jr.
F. W. Fogg
D. W. Speed, Commissioners
AND R. C. Vogel, City Manager
Oliver C. Ball, City Attorney
Adele S. Grage, City Clerk
ABSENT: None
The meeting was called to order by Mayor-Commissioner, Mr. Howell.
The invocation was given by Commissioner Minton, followed by the
pledge to the flag.
The minutes of the meeting of October 9, 1972, were approved as
written upon motion of Commissioner Minton, seconded by Commissioner
Rosborough and carried.
Mayor Howell asked for a report on Mr. W. H. Adams protest to the
conditions caused by The Chateau. Mr. Vogel stated Mr. Hilliard
has supplied de-greaser to The Chateau and the situation is now
under control.
Oliver C. Ball, City Attorney, stated Commissioner Speed had
negotiated with Lynch-Davidson concerning repairs macre cq a City
truck and the bill has been brought down to a figure that can be
handled by the City Manager. It was moved by Commissioner Minton,
seconded by Commissioner Fogg and carried that said bill be paid
as negotiated.
• Mrs. Grage, City Clerk, reported that the millege for the City of
Atlantic Beach has been set at 5.3 mills for a total assessment of
$26,646,502.00. She also reported that we have not received the
tax rolls for 1972.
Commissioner Rosborough gave a brief report on the meeting held in
Bal Harbour for the Florida League of Municipalities.

The Commission welcomed back Mrs. June Knight who has been out due
to illness.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
