Minutes of the regular meeting of October 14th:, 1957 were approved
as written upon motion. of Mr. Howell? seconded by Mr. Weiss.
Minutes of the adjourned meeting of October 15th? 1957 were approved
as written upon motion of Mr. Howell, seconded by Mr. Weiss.
Mr. Minchew recognized visitors present. Mr. Frank Kerber, a member
of the Volunteer Fire Department asked if there was money available
for the social or outing that was suggested at a previous meetings,
for the volunteer firemen, auxiliary police and their wives, Mr,
Minchev suggested that they get to-gether and decide on what they
would like to have and the approximate cost, and bring this infor-
mati.ou to the next meeting for Council,°s consideration and approval.
Sealed bids were recwived on the truck shed and tabulated as foi T

The bids were studied and upon motion of Mr. Howell, seconded by
Mr. : wi. s approval was given to e. and the bid to the Ross Construe-
tion Co. as low bidder.
Mr, Waggoner presented a study of lots that can be cleaned off by
mower and those on which bigger equipment is needed. There are
115 that he can cut with the Town tower and Mr v Thompson advised
that they will have to be handled in line with Ordinance #86, Mr.
Waggoner is to prepare a list of these lots for a Resolution and
noti: es o
ter. Waggoner presented a study of the locations for the 16 new
street lights allowable wader franchise for the Councils
consideration and approval. After discussion Mr. Weiss moved
that the Town Manager be authorized to get an estimate on install-
ing the street lights at the suggested lozations0 This was seconded
by Mr Bowell and carried.,
Mr. Waggoner reported that we have received several requests from
the Navy too get a traffic light enstalled at Maypoe t Rd, and Atlan-
tic Boulevard. Recently there was a tatal a-ecident talking 2 lives,
and numbers of collisions. etc. The matter was discussed and upon
motion of Mr. Howell, seconded by Mr. Weiss the 'Town Manager was
directed to write the County Commission requesting a traffic light

for this intersection.
Upon motion of Mra Howell, seconded by Mro Weiss approval was given
to pay the Town Manager 's expenses to attend the meeting of the
F1atride League : Municipalities at Daytona Beach on November 17th,
18th and 19th.

The final bill from Hunnicutt & Associates in amount of
$12212.17 was approved for payment°
There was a discussion of the budget for the year 1958 and
Mr® Waggoner advised that he hopes to have it ready for study
by the next regular meeting.
