12-19-55 v MINUTES OF THL ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH TOWN COUNCIL
HELD AT THE TOWN HALL ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 19TH, 1955 AT 7 30 P.M.

The meeting was called to order by the President, Mr. Minchew.
The tabulated bids on the fire engine, all bids being in line with
specifications, were next studied and discussed at length. Upon motion
of Mr. Adams, seconded by Mr. Carr approval was given for the purchase
of the American-LaFrance -Ford 750 Gallon triple combination pumper at
price of $8,887. 50 as quoted with delivery in 120 days F.O.B. Atlantic
Beach, Fla. The Town Manager and Town Clerk were authorized to sign the
contract for the Town.
It was decided to throw out the bids for 400 feet of 22" hose, and to
call for new bids on 1400 feet of 2k" hose as specified with 400 feet
to be delivered at once and 1000 feet when needed for new truck.
It was decided to write the City of Neptune Beach and advise them of
our purchase of a new fire engine, and offer our assistance to them
without cost at any time we can be of service. Mr. Minchew and Mr.
Waggoner are to handle this matter.
Mr. Waggoner reported on landfill and advised that he had agreed on
$75.00 per month. There was discussion and upon motion of sir. Adams,
seconded by Ar. Carr approval was given for an agreement with Jacksonville
Beach at $75. provided this sum is acceptable to them, the agreement to
be signed by the neccessary officials as designated on the contract
by Jacksonville Beach.
Upon motion of Mr. Thames the meeting adjourned from day to day at
8:50 P.M.
