09-17-51 v MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH TOWN COUNCIL
HELD AT THE TOWN HALL ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 17TH, 1951 at 8 P.M.

The meeting was called to order by the President, Mr. Adams.
Mr. George Bull presented the preliminary plat of the Selva
Marina which was studied and discuesed. Upon motion of Mr.
Bremer, seconded by Mr. anlesal a provwas given of the tompketed
plat when ready�'tt the r s e o the Council and the Town
Clerk were authorized to sign for the Town.
There was further discussion of water supply for the residents of
Donner's sub-division, and upon motion of Mr. Thames, seconded by
Mr. Bremer an Ordinance granting permission to Emerson Jacksons
and Ardella, and Leroy Jackson and Orpah Lee to supply water to resi-
dents of the Town residing in Donner's sub-division was passed on
first reading. bpon motion of Mr. Thames, seconded by Mr. Bremer
it was passed on 2nd reading.
Ordinance No. 140 entitled "An Ordinance restricting the location
wherein a vendor of alchholic Beverages shall be permitted to conduct
their place of business, etc." was presented and read. Upon motion
of Mr. Thames, seconded by Mr. Bremer it was passed on 3rd and final
reading. Permission wad therefore in line for Mrs. Rehberg to trans-
fer her liquor license to the Mennen-Bullock Building on Atlantic Blvd.
After discussion and upon motion of Mr. Thames, seconded by Mr. Bremer
an Ordinance was passed on ist reading by title only to allow 1 liquor
license to every 300 population. Upon motion of Mr. Thames, seconded by
Mr. Bremer, it was passed on 2nd reading.
The Law and Rules Committee recommended that the Mayor's Fund be increased
by $150. and that that amount be donated from this fund, with the Mayor's
approval,to the Beach Youth Center being sponsored by the Senior Woman's
Club. Upon motion of Mr. Thames, seconded by Mr. Bremer this recommenda-
tion was approved, and the Mayor instructed the Tdhn Clerk to Send the
$150. as specified.
There was a discussion of the Comprehensive Liability insurance policy
for the Town, and Mr. Thompson advised that it covers about every activity
carried on by the Town, except motor vehicles, and that he feels it is
the conservative thing to do to carry it. There was further discussion
and upon motion of Mr. Bremer, seconded by Mr. Thames approval was given
to take out this policy on the attorney's recommendation.
The question of an auditor was discussed, and upon motion of Mr. Bremer,
seconded by Mr. Thames the firm of Gordon P. Blitch & Co. was appointed
at the same figure of $250. as for previous year.
There was discussion of the Budget for 1951-52 and it was decided to meet
in Special Session on Monday, September 24th, 1951 ,just for budget study,
and passing of Preliminary Tax Roll for 1951 which will be ready by that
time.
