ATLANTIC BEACH TOWN COUNCIL HELD AT THE TOWN HALL
TUESDAY, JUNE 5th, 1945 AT er P.M.

James A. Cranford, President , called the meeting
to order.
Upon motion of S.L. Jones, seconded by Don Goodling
the minutes of the last regular meeting and the special meet-
ing of ray 15th, 1945 were approved.
Upon motion of Don E. Goodling, secomded by E.L. Jones
an Ordinance regulating Fishing by Seine , etc. was passed on
thphd and final reading.
Mr. Frazier advised that Mr. S. S. Jacobs, Mrs. June
aright and Mr. George Bull had agreed to act on Board of
Appraisors for Hotel Reservation Road, with Mr. S. S. Jacobs
acting as chairman. Nith these names inserted in the Ordi-
nance setting up a Board of Appraisors on Hotel Reservation
Road, it was passed on third and final reading upon motion
of Beale Travis, seconded by Don E. Goodling.
Mr. Rosborough read a letter received from Col.
E.C. Rose, Infantry, Commanding at Camp Blanding answer-
ing the Mayor' s letter of May 7th relative to housing of
service men on visit to beach. He advised that he was familiar
with the problem but had not solution, however would continue
to give it attention.
In the absence of the Treasurer, the report was read by
Mr. Beale Travis , who moved it' s adoption subject to signature.
The motion was seconded by Mr. E.L. Jones, and carried.
Upon motion of Beale Travis, seEonded by E .L. Jones
the following bills were approved for payment:

The monthly report of C .R . Frazier, Town Supervisor
was read, and is filed. Eight stens have been put into use
to date; roping of the beach has been started; signs have been
painted on the streets to reolace temporarily the metal ones
recently stolen; many complaints received: regarding condition
11/ of streets due to dry weather, but cannot fix streets and make
steps with limited crew of laborers; many inquiries on building;
garbage and trash being cared for better than average ,being help-
ed by having new truck; police car repaired and giving better
performance.
Upon motion of Beale Travis, seconded by F .L. Jones
the following will be the hours for roping off beach:
Week Days . . '. . . . 2 P.M. to 7 P.M.
Sunday & Holidays' . 10 A.M. to 8 P.M.
It was the opinion of the Council that Mr. Frazier
finish the steps first, then do what he could on the streets.
Mr. Frazier will put up sign at Saltair Blvd. direct-
ing traffic to the Colored Beach.
Mr. Travis was requested to see Mr. Jarboe requesting
him to send us a bill for fire service for the Council 's
approval .
The natter of salary to le paid for ropiag van left
to the Town Supervisor.
Letter vas read from. the Little Theatre Group, and
the Town Clerk was instructed to acknowledge rare.
Upon motion of t..L. Jones the meeting adjourned.
