TONN COUNCIL HELD AT THE TOWN HALL AT 8 'D. M. OCTOBER 13 , 1942.

The Clerk read the minutes of the meetings of Sept. 8, 1942
and October 6, 1942, which were approved as read.
The Treasurer's report was submitted by Mr. Cranford in the
absence of the Town Treasurer. Upon motion of Mr. Travis , seconded
by Mr. Cranford, the report was approved and -ordered filed.
Cancelled Seawall Bonds from 58 to 87 inclusive and 56 coupons
were delivered for future destruction. The Clerk was directed to
acknowlege receipt of these bonds.
Upon motion of Mr. Cranford, seconded by Mrl Tvtvis'
the following warrants issued to David Frazier were rPtified and
approved:

Upon motion of Mr. Cranford, seconded by Mr. Travis, the

Upon motion of Mr. Travis , seconded by Mr. Cranford, the

The bias of Sid Mack Company End Mason Lumber Company cover-
ing materials purchased for the jail passed to the next meeting.
Upon motion of Mr. Cranford, seconded by Mr. Travis, the
4111- meeting date , time end place for the regular meeting of the Town
Council was ehanged to the second Tuesday in each month at 7:30
P. M. at the Town Hall .

A discussion .was had relative to the necessity for an
audit , the ,;uestion having been raised by letter from the
F . F . C concerning Sewall bonds end a letter from Clifford A.
Payne & Garrison Company. The Clerk was directed to ask the
T . F . C . whether or not a statement by the Clerk-Tax Collector
would suffice for this year since no audit is -rovided for in
the budget , the audit being custorary for every two years .
The Ordinnce finally asoroving the Tax Poll for the
year 1942 and fixing the millage to be collected on all
assessable ,roperty was placed on final reading. After read-
ing Mr. Cranford moved its passage on Third and Final read-
ing , this motion was seconded by Mr. Travis and the Ordinance
was passed on Third and Final reading.
The Town Attorney reported in reference to the Grice
case . He asked that he be authorized to increase the already
authorized payment to an engineer for a survey of the corner
at 10th end East Coast Drive from w25. to $35. Granted. He
also asked to be authorized to employe Dr. Kenneth Morris for
the ouroose of examining Grice at the time of the trial , the
fee to be not more than $75. This permission was unanimously
granted.
Upon motion of Mr. Cranford, seconded by Mr. Travis , the
meeting adjourned.
