11-18-41 v MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC
BEACH TONN COUNCIL CALLED FOR NOVEMBER 11 et 8 P. M.
AND ADJOURNED FROM DAY TO DAY UNTIL NOVEMBER 18 AT 8 P.M.
The Regular monthly meeting of the Atlantic Beach Town
Council was called to order on November 11 at 8 P.A . The
Clerk called the roll and due to the fact that there was not
a quorum, the meeting was adjourned from day to day until
November 18, et which time a quorum was oresent.
The Clerk called the roll and the following answered
present :

The minutes of the regular monthly meeting of October
14 were read and upon motion of Mr. Chiasson, seconded by Mr.
Allen were approved as read.
Mr. James A. Cranford, Town Treasurer, submitted his
regular monthly financial report and upon motion of Mr. Allen,
seconded by Mr . Chiasson, it was engraved and ordered filed.
Upon motion of Mr. Allen, seconded by Mr. Chiesson , the
following bills were apnroved and ordered paid:

The bill covering the purchase of the Power Mower from
Zaun Equipment Company was discussed and upon unanimous approval ,
the Town Clerk was authorized to nay Zaun Equipment Comoany
¢t'85.00 at this time and advise Mr. Zaun that the balance will be
taken care of just as soon as funds are available .
The Clerk was directed to contact Mr. R. E. Sugg regard-
ing his taxes and seawall construction account , both of which
are in the hands of the attorney for collection, but action has
been held in abeyance at Mr. Sugg ' s request; that the Town Clerk
is to say to Mr. Sugg that the matter cannot be held up
indefinitely and some disposition must be made of it.
Upon motion of Mr. Chiasson, seconded by Mr. Allen, the
Council authorized the donation of X25.00 to the Atlantic Beach
Elementary P.T.A. payable at once.
The President of the Council raised the question regard-
ing extra seats at Fletcher High School , he having been advis-
ed that the Town of Atlantic Beach had agreed to pay a portion
of the cost of these extra seats. It was the recollection of
the Mayor that it was considered that the Town of Atlantic
Beach was paying its part in repairs to the athletic field ,
mowing the field and other repair work. The Clerk advised
that there is nothing in the records that the Town of Atlantic
Beach had ever obligated itself to nay any portion of the cost
of extra seats. The President. of the ' Coundil' being also the '
President of the Dad' s Club was asked to convey this information
to the Athletic Committee of Fletcher High School.
The Mayor read a letter signed by mrs. S. D. Dekel ,
Corresponding Secretary of the Atlantic Beach Garden Circle with
reference to pruning the oleanders on Ocean Boulevard from
Atlantic Boulevard to Seventh Street. The matter was left in
the hands or t're Mayor to reply in accordance with whatever
circumstances appear to govern the situation.
The Clerk read a letter addressed to him by Mrs.
Dekel , as corresponding Secretary of the Atlantic Beach Garden
Circle , in reference to suitable street signs at street ends
on the Seawall. The matter was turned back to the Clerk for
his attention and for whatever action is deemed expedient in
the matter.
There being no further business for consideration,
the meeting was adjourned.
