02-16-39 v MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ATL1 J"'IC BEACH TOWN COUNCIL HELD PT THE TOWN HALL AT 7:30 P. M. FEB. 16 , 1939. Present: E. L. uhiaason R. E. Sugg Thos. W. Trout. The Mayor was present also. The minutes of the previous meeting, by uanimous consent , were not read , but deferred to the next Regular Monthly meeting. Upon motion of Mr. Thos. V. Trout , seconded by Mr. Sugg, the following motion was adopted: RESOLUTION WHEREAS The Title and Trust uo. of Florida, as 'Trustee , has brought to the attention of the Atlantic Beach Town council the existence of Plat No. 3, rlorida Beach, recorded in Plat Book 11 , Pages 59 and 60, April 7, l9 , and WHEREAS The said Plat hes been replaced by an Unrecorded Plat known as "Section H , a Sub-uivision of Atlantic Beach, a part of the Castro y Ferrer Grant, and lying north of Atlantic Boulevardaand west of the Mayport Road , showing lots 1 to 256 inclusive , together with ways, streets, alleys and thoroughfares, and WHEREAS The said unrecorded plat of the said Section H, has for the duration of the present tax records ( 1932 to 1938, inclusive) been used exclusively in the said Town by the Town Tax Assessor for the purpose of Assessing Municipal Taxes on said land , NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF ATLANTIC BEACTI, FLORIDA, that Plat No. 3, Florida Beach, pages 59 and 60 of plat Book 11 , of the Public Records of Duval County, Florida, be , and the same is, hereby vacated, and that the said unrecorded Plat of the said bection H , hereafter be used as the basis for all assessments of taxes and for sitother purposes , and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , That all streets, thoroughfares , alleys, ways and public easements, as shown by the afore- mentioned Plat No. 3, be, and the same are , hereby vacated , and that all of the provisions of the unrecorded Plat of the said Section H be substituted therefor. passed by the Atlantic Beach Town Council this 16th day of February, A. D. 1939 . Upon motion of Mr . Sugg, seconded by Mr. Trout, $50.00 for the purchase of gas and oil to be used on the Fletcher High School Project to construct a recreation field, was unanimously appropriated.
