The meeting JC.s called to order by E. L. Chiasson ,
President.
The minutes of previous meetings were reserved for
reading to the T`rgular monthly meeting in December.
The meeting 17P2 called for the nurpos e of consider-
ing the �dvis-�' lity of grenting en electrical franchise to
he City of Jacksonville to furnish lights and power in the
Town of ls.tl- ntic Beach .
Mr. Ernest E. Andrews , City Commissioner of Jackson-
ville , explained the prob bi lity of s deal between the City
of J< cks_onville and the Home utilities Corp. , of Atlantic
i' Beach, by which the City of J= cksonvills would '- ec,me owner
of all electrical equipments and all of the alleged •rights
of the Home Utilities Co. , and asked for a franchise from
itlentic Beach to operate the system in the Town. After
discussion, Mr. Cutler moved, Mr. Trout seconded, Pnd the-
otion unanimously p<;ssed; th'. t the Council having been
previously duly notified was then and there in special
session; and
That u. Howell , Jr. , Town attorney be , and he
hereby is, authorized and directed to meet with Mr. Miller,
410 Yr. Graham and Mr . Ulrich, representing the City of Jackson-
ville , for the purpose of setting up a tentative draft of en
ordinance to give a franchise to the City of Jecksonv'11e

to --rvo the Town of i-tlantic Beech with electricF1 current;
and
That the said (Jommittee are authorized and directed
to ct iirmedi- tely s nd to report their recommendations to
a Special Meeting of the t1. ntic 'each Town Council at
