03-12-36 v MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF TOA COUNCIL
OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA.
A special meeting wf the Town Council was held at two
P . M. on March 12, 1936 .
Meeting was called to order by Lawrence K. Tucker, Jr. ,
Chairman. There were present at said meeting Earle Thompson and
J. M . B_, adfield.
At said meeting there was discussed the proposed reso-
lution and ordinance affecting the furtherance of a loan from the
United -tater Government for the placing of posts in front of the
seawall, at which time said ordinance and resolution were duly
passed acid u animously carried, and the Town Attorney was directed
to present same to the PUVA authorities for passage .
Thereafter ordinance affecting the location and operation
of sot and vending machines was again presented to the council
for approval, said ordinance having heretofore been presented and
passed on its first r -ading.
Upon motion of LQwrence K . Tucker and seconded by Earle
/_ Thompson, the ordinance relating to the operation and location of
slot and vending machines was read in full. Upon motion duly made

and unanimously carried sae was passed on the second reading.
Thereupon Lawrence K. Tucker made motion, which was duly seconded

41111 that said ordinance be passed on its third and final reading, and
upon vote same was unanimously carried and declared to become a
law as of £.arch 12, 1936.
There was then introduced the ordinance relating to the
manufacture, distribution and sale of spirituous , vinous and malt
liquor, wines and beer, said ordinance having been heretofore
passed on its first meeting at a previous regular council meeting.
Upon motion made by Mr. Bradfield, seconded by Mt. Tucker
said ordinance was passed on its second reading by unanimous vote .
Mr . Bradfield them moved that said ordinance be read and passed on
its third and final reading, and upon vote same was unanimously
IMIP carried and declared to become a law as of March 12, 1936.
Thereafter the Town Attorney was handed a letter from
PhiA officials for reply as to the amounts which the government
could expect as of April 1st, on sums due for bulkhead install-
ments, and said Town Attorney was directed to advise the govern-
ment that the bulkhead was completed at a later date then contem-
plated and that installments would necessarily fall slightly in
default but that all efforts of the Town would be made to have
the payments as soon as possible.
There being no further business meeting adjourned.
