REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF ATLANTIC BEACH, APRIL 3, 1933

The meeting was called to order by Mr. Lawrence K. Tucker, Jr. ,
Chairman.
The Clerk read the minutes of the meeting of March 6th, which
were approved as read.
Upon motion of Mr. Bradfield, seconded by Mr. Palmer, pizt
and carried; - the following bills were ordered paid:-
National Seal Co. Inc. 100 sets summons in Dup $ 2.56
Farquhar Mchny Co. Articles for repair of fire
plugs 29.50
Peter Jensen, Bal. 102.50 on shell. Amt. paid 50.00

The Clerk read a communication from Yrs. Fred Jronawaalt on
6th St. , calling attention to the condition of lots adjtcent to her
property (Lot 17, Blk. 7) which on account of high weeL. s and under-
brush are breeders of mosquitoes and dwelling places for snakes.
This matter, upon motion of Mr. Palmer, seconded by Iir. Bradfield,
put and carried, was referred to the Public 'Forks Co:_ ittee.
The Chairman of the Public Works Comrittee, reported , thru
the Clerk, that he had cut the salary of the garbage collector to
$40.00 per month, beginning April 1st. This reduction received the
approval of the Council.
The Chairman of the Building Committee reported that the
contract for building the Town Hall had been awarded P. S . Clarsc
at 02000.00, with the privilege of purchasing any materials at a
lower price than his estimates.
Attorney Mabry presented the following bills, which he
had _prepared for presentation to the legislature
ACT No. 1. An Act Affecting the Government of the Town •
of Atlantic Beach, Providing for an Increase in. the Bond Limit
for the Purpose of Constructing Bulkhead and other Municipal Purposes.
ACT No. 2. An Act tc Authorize the Re-establishment of the
Assessmentoxo Collection of Taxes upon Any Real Property in the
Town of Atlantic Beach, a Municipal Corporation in Duval County,
Florida, for the Last Past Four Years.
ACT No. 3. An Act to Provide and Authorize the Town of At-
lantic Beach, Duval County, Florida, to Provide and Prescribe Zoning
Regulations.
Upon motion of Mr. Bradfield, seconded by Yr. Palmer, put and
carried, these Acts were approved.
Mr. Mabry reported that the County is now repairing and re-
. constructing the 16th St. Ramp.

A motion 7Ls made by Mr. Palmer, seconded by Mr. Bradfield,
put and carried, that H. K. Sistrunk, night watchman, be allowed
ten dollars (010.00) per month for gas and oil, beginning with April.
A motion was made by Mr. Palmer, seconded by Mr. Bradfield,
put and carried, that Mr. R. E. Sugg Mayor, be authorized to em-
ploy necessary labor, not to exceed, $100.00, for cleaning up the
town.
There being no further business for consideration, up-
on motion put and carried, the meeting adjourned.
