In the absence of Ur. Lawrence K. Tucker, Jr., Mr.
E. H. Thompson, Vice Pres. , acting as chairman, called the
meeting to order.
The Clerk read the minutes of the Regular Meeting of
Aug. 7th and Special Meeting of Aug. 31st, whichwere approved
as read.
Upon motion of Mr. Stallings, seconded by Mr. Brad-
field, put and carried, the following bills were approved:-

The Clerk read a letter from Cornell-Young Co. , Con-
tractors, Macon, Ga., requesting that they be placed on the
"Invitation list" and sent a copy of" "Notice to Contractors"
in reference to bids for concrete seawall.
Upon motion of Mr. Bradfield, seconded by Mr. Stal-
lin ;s, put and carried, the Clerk was instructed to write Cor-
nell-You .g Co. that at the proper time, bids would be adver-
tised for in a local paper for two weeks and that they be re-
ferred to Hills & Youngberg, Engineers, for plans and. speci-
fications.
Upon motion of Mr. Bradfield, seconded by Mr. Stallings,
:rut and carried, the following resolution was ordered passed,
accepting the preliminary Tax Assessment Roll for the year 1933:
RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY TAX ASSESSMENT ROLL
FOR THE YEAR 1933.
ir:HE_EAS, the Town Tax Assessor has completed the 7,re-
liminary tax assessment Roll of the Town of Atlantic Beach,
.Florida, for the year 1933,. and has submitted the same 'to the
Town Council, and ,
WHEREAS, it appears that all property, real and personal
in the Town of Atlantic Beach subject to taxation has been
assessed on said tax assessment roll, and the said tax assess-
mentroll is in due form,
S THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the'
Town of Atlantic Beach, that the said preliminary tax assessment
. Roll be and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Town Clerk shall
Post at the Town Hall and at two other public places in the Town
and shall also publish for four successive days in a newspaper
published in the City of Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida,
notice that said assessment roll has been submitted to the Town
Council and approved and also requiring all persons desir-
ing to have corrections thereof made, whether in the listing,
valuation of property or otherwise, to file with the Town Tax
Assessor on or before the 25th day of September, A. D. 1933, at
eight o' clock, P . M. their petition to the Town •Council, set-
ting forth their objection to said assessment -and the correction
that they desire made, analso that the Town Council will meet
at the Town Hall in the Town of Mtlantic Beach, on the 25th day
.of September, A. 'D. 1933, at "eight o' clock, P. E. for the nur-
-.ose of equalizing saidassessments and making proper -correc-
tions therein,"
Upon motion duly made, seconded anclcarried, it was
ordered that the Town Clerk publishthe following notice four
times in a Jacksonville y,aper and post copies of same in accord-
ance with. the Charter.

25th Day of September A. D. 1933, at eight o' clock, P. I:. to
file with the Town Tax Assessor of the Town of Atlantic Beach,
their petitions to the Town Uvuncil of said Town, setting forth
their objections to the said assessment and the corrections
that they desire made. - s
The Town Cbun_cil will meet at the City Hall in the Town'
of Aslant _c Beach, Florida, on the 25th day of September A. D.
1933, at eight o' clock, P. I. for the purpose of equalizing said
assessments and making proper corrections therein. All persons
who shall file petitions as aforesaid will be given the oppor-
tunity to be heard at said meeting.

The Clerk having brought to the attention of the
Council, the fact that her Bond has expired, upon motion of
Mr. Bradfield, seconded by Mr. Stallings, put and unani-
mously carried, it was decided to renew this bond with Mr.
Clifford A. Payne.
There being no further business for consideration,
upon motion put and carried, the meeting adjourned..
