10-17-32 v T ,111.1111111110111111111111111111111111111E:JUALIri: TION BOARD MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL, HELD AT THE STORE OF ROBERT E. SUGG AT 8 O' CLOCK P. M. OCT. 17. PRESENT:- La,-rrence K. Tucker, Jr. F. H. Thompson, Jas. D. Palmer. The meeting was called to order by Mr. Lawrence K. Tucker, Jr. Chairman. The Clerk read the minutes of the meeting of October third, thich were approved as read. Upon motion of Mr. Thompson, seconded by Mr. Palmer, put and unanimously carried, the following bills were approved:- Robt . E. Sugg, gas and oil $4.59 Jax. Journal, Adv. Equalization Meeting 10.00 estern Auto Supply Co. Flash light for - at(-21-)- . man 1.19 Neill Corley, Inc. Renewal Clerk' s Bond 10.00 Duval Motor Co. .Oi1 for truck 3 00 .28.7f Upon motion of I.ir. Thompson, seconded by Mr. Palmer, put and unanimously carried, the Clerk was instructed to write the Southern Bell Tel. and Tel. Co. in regard to the bill of $2.57, which they had forwarded and request an itemized statement, as the bill as presented was not clear and understandable. A motion was made by Mr. Thompson, seconded by Mr. Palmer, put and unanimously carried, that the following resolution be a- dopted, Be it resolved that : - WHEEUS, The Budget Committee of the Council of the Town of Atlantic Beach has made its report recommending a budget of expenses for the Town of Atlantic Beach for the ensuing year and requiring a levy in the sum of seven mills. NOW, THER,;FORE BE IT RESOLVED That the budget so sub- mitted to the Council by the Budget Committee be, and the same is hereby adopted as an appropriation to meet the necessary ex- penditures of the Town of Atlantic Beach for the year 1933. A motion was made by Mr. Thompson, seconded by Mr. Palmer, put and unanimously carried, that owing to the fact that due to the fire which destroyed the records, a temporary cessa- tion of income has occured, the Clerk be allowed an advance of fifteen dollars 015.00) on commissions, same to be deducted from later revenue collected. The balance of the meeting was taken up by consideration and adjustments of various complaints and requests of property owners for lower assessment of their property, after which there being no further business for consideration, upon motion put and unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned.
