02-15-26 v5 MINUTES o° a called Meeting of the Town Council o£ the TOwN of E. "' ATLANTIC BEACH, FBA „ on Feb. 8, 1926,`at the Town Hall, Atlantic : Beach. Present: Messrs. bTason, Rogers, Bell and Horne. Eiinutes of previous meeting read and approved. The Council President stated the. object of the meeting to be to consider the question of the bond issue as proposed at the last meeting by the representatives of Salt Aix. In the regular order. of business, the Committee on Electric Lighting reported no progress. 244r. hSason reported that the County was unwilling or usable to pave:. the Plaza and that in the case of the extension of Ocean Blvd., Mr. @P. H. Adams had said-that if the County would pave the roadway.running through the Hotel grounds to a width of eighteen feet, he the said Adams, would deed the right of way to the County.Mr. Horne moved that the City Clerk be directed to write Charles H.Mann, President., State Board o£ Health, Jacksonville, Fla.,explaining the situation as to the need of drainage north o£ the Plaza and west of Sherry Drive, asking that information be given as to possible and necessary action in the matter of draining such territory. Carried and Clerk was so directed to do.In the discussion ensuing upon the question of a bond issue for the improvement of streets in the Town, iir. Fairchild explained the matter as to the sub-division Salt Air, and dir. Logan the position.and ability of his clients, who were both able and willing to take:the said bonds upon the terms and security stated.The discussion was participated in not only by members of the i Council but by several citizens and took a wide range.Further action was deferred in order that Counsel might be consulted and plans formulated more fully.Mr. Bell moved - and it was seconded and adopted - that the Council resole itself into a Committee to report at some early and subsequent meeting. Mr. Iwanowski exhibited to the Council a coloted sketch of a proposed bulkhead, asking approval thereof by the Council and Mayor. Neither denied nor given, but unofficial approval expressed by individual members. There: being no further business before ib, the Council, upon motion, adjourned. Sd) Vasa E.
