Please be advised, Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found the property referenced above to
be in violation of the City of Atlantic Beach, Code of Ordinances, International Property
Maintenance Code adopted:
VIOLATIONS
INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE
Section 304.12—Handrails and guards. Every handrail and guard shall be firmly fastened and
capable of supporting normally imposed loads and shall be maintained in good condition. (Stairs
are loose, missing guardrails, handrails need or repair)
This letter requests you comply obtaining the services of a State of Florida licensed
contractor to obtain a building permit and making necessary repairs to the stair, handrails
and guardrails within thirty (30) days of receipt of this notice and obtain an approved final
inspection.
If the violation is corrected and then recurs or if the violation is not corrected by the time
specified in this notice this case may be presented to the Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement
Board even if the violation has been corrected prior to the board meeting. The Code
Enforcement Board may impose fines up to two hundred fifty($250.00) dollars per day for each
day the violation is not corrected. Upon completing the corrective action required, it is your
responsibility to contact Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement and arrange for an inspection to
verify compliance.
