The more I review this issue, and seeing the emotions with all involved I feel this should go before the Community Development Board for review.
It's the best route at this point to take emotions out of the final decision.
As they stay the buck stops with you as the City Manager to make the best decision for the city.
Can you provide update after meeting with the City Attorney the other morning. I do stand firm the actions by Drew DeCandis, AICP, Planning and Development Director during our meeting
in no way helped. (That's another discussion on another day) I assume Drew has met with the builder!
Have you met with the builder and owner of the house in question? Could be helpful to hear his side.
Anyway the action should have your final approval before moving forward. Do you have a time line on when your final decision will come?
