SPECIAL CALLED CITY COMMISSION MEETING
SEPTEMBER 25,2017-5:00 PM
CITY HALL, 800 SEMINOLE ROAD
IN ATTENDANCE:

Mayor Reeves called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. City Clerk Bartle called the roll and
Mayor Reeves noted that a quorum was present.
City Attorney Durden requested the Commission convene in a private attorney-client meeting in
accordance with Section 286.011(8), Florida Statutes, pertaining to the pending lawsuit styled,
Queniat v. City of Atlantic Beach, Case No. 16-2017-CA-319 to begin immediately in the North
Conference Room in the City Hall.
Mayor Reeves stated the following, in accordance with Section 286.011(8), Florida Statutes, he
is announcing that the special private attorney-client meeting, a Shade Meeting, will be held in
the North Conference Room in City Hall beginning now. The estimated length of time for this
meeting will be one and one half hours.
The people attending this Shade Meeting will be Commissioner Waters, Commissioner Hill,
Commissioner Harding, Commissioner Stinson, Mayor Reeves, City Manager Joe Gerrity, City
Attorney Brenna Durden, the City's outside legal counsel Troy Beecher, and court reporter
Diane Tropia.
Following the conclusion of the special private attorney-client meeting, Mayor Reeves
reconvened the special called meeting in the Commission Chamber at 6:23 p.m.
Adjournment
Mayor Reeves declared the special called meeting adjourned at 6:23 p.m.
Mayor Reeves announced the Commission will reconvene for the Regular Commission Meeting
at 6:30 p.m.
