BEACH CITY COMMISSION HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON OCTOBER 20, 1982
AT 8:30 P.M.
PRESENT: Robert B. Persons, Jr. , Mayor-Commissioner
Robert B. Cook, Sr.
William I. Gulliford, Jr.
John W. Morris
Catherine G. Van Ness, Commissioners
AND: A. William Moss, City Manager
The City Commission met as A Committee of the Whole to discuss the possibility
of solving the problems that Mr. Bull claims to exist with the City. Present
at the meeting were: Messrs. George Bull, Sr. , Alan Potter, Robert Skeels,
Oliver C. Ball, and Walter J. Parks, Jr.
Following discussion, Commissioner Gulliford moved that the Committee re-
commend to the Commission the following:
Appoint a Committee to review the standards set by the
present Zoning Ordinance in the section governing Planned
Unit Developments to see if they limit the flexibility and
discretion of the Commission on approving future developments,
and to report findings to the Commission and, if necessary,
recommend any changes to that section of the Ordinance.
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Morris and carried unanimously.
Mr. Bull stated that if the Ordinance was amended to allow the Commission the
discretion to approve, or disapprove,his Planned Unit Developments, whether
or not the Planned Unit Development met the engineering standards required
for subdivisions, that he would be completely satisfied.
