COMMISSION HELD AT THE CITY HALL ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 3RD,
411/1 1961 AT 8 P.M.

Absent: W. Laney Whitehurst (out of city)
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor-Commissioner,
Mr. Howell, and immediately went into session as a Cancassing
Board to receive the report o#' the Election Officials cover-
ing the 1961 Primary Election. Copies of the Certificates of
CA Result - of the Primary Election of October 3rd,
1961 were presented to the Commission by the Mayor and the
City Clerk. Resolution #61-30 was read by Mayor Howell,
whereupon Mr. Johansen moved the adoption of said Resolution
accepting' the report of the Election Officials , seconded by
Mr. Moore, and having been duly considered the Mayor put the
giestion thereon and the motion was unanimously carried.
Whereupon the Mayor declared said Resolution cgrried and
the following officials duly elected:
. Seat #1 - Henry G. Isaacs
Seat #2 - Preben Johansen
Seat #3 - J.B. Claiborne
Seat #4 - Chas R. Moore
Seat # 5 - to be run off on October 17th, 1961.
Copy of Resolution # 61-30 is attached to these minutes and
made a part thereof.
There being no further business the Mayor declared the meet-
ing adjourned.

held in Atlantic Beach, Florida on October 3rd, 1961 for the

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED , That it is hereby unanimously voted
that said returns be accepted as reported,
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED and it is hereby found and determined
by the City Commission of Atlantic Beach, Florida acting in the
capacity of a Canvassing Board , that a majority of the qualified
voters, who participated in said Primary Election cast their votes
in favor of the above candidates as follows:
