As you can imagine, the City of Atlantic Beach is monitoring the Kmart
shopping center redevelopment project with great interest. As uch, this is a
request that the City of Neptune Beach provide us with traffic studies and
related information produced in anticipation of the project, and arty that may be
performed moving forward.
We are particularly anxious about the development's potential impact on
traffic on Atlantic Boulevard and its arteries from the Neptune/Atlantic Beach
city limits to Ocean Boulevard/First Street. Indeed, the impetusor this formal
request is that I was contacted by a representative of the develoker and asked
to weigh in on the possible necessity of a traffic light at Sylvan and Atlantic if
the development is approved.
Again, as I'm sure you can appreciate, we want to be sure that any traffic
studies used are current.
Very truly yours,
Ellen Glasser
