ROLL CALL 1. COURTESY OF THE FLOOR There were no speakers. 2. REPORTS AND/OR REQUESTS A. 18th St. Subcommittee Recommendation A RECOMMENDATION FOR PRESENTATION TO THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH CITY COMMISSION TO RECONFIGURE PUBLIC PARKING AT THE 18TH STREET BEACH ACCESS was presented to Mr. Tari for review and edits. Review of the recommendation ensued and possible edits were discussed (edits below) to emphasize the word "safety" in the BACKGROUND section by making it bold change Commission sponsored "town meeting" to "workshop"(2nd page 2nd paragraph, 1st sentence) clean up formatting on Olsen-PPSARC inventory comparison could" misspelled (last paragraph 3rd sentence) add the committee's focus is "safety" (2nd page last paragraph, 1st sentence) add a sentence to clarify the following is in response to the Commission's comments and after the first recommendation was sent back for further review JUSTIFICATION section of 3rd page) add "to prevent/stop illegal U-turns" in the BUDGET section (6th page) add "paint" to 1. of RECOMMENDATION(6th page) add "will negate the necessity for almost half " to JUSTIFICATION section 4. No Net Loss "in the area" Parking & Pedestrian Safety Advisory Resource Committee January 28, 2019 Page 1 of 2 Discussion ensued regarding getting more specifics regarding the complaints to the Police Department associated with 18th Street parking. Mr. Wappes has requested information from Deputy City Manager Kevin Hogencamp. A brief discussion ensued regarding adding photo of the delineator to the recommendation the "current dilemma regarding Emergency vehicles when they try to get down 18th Street" somewhere in the recommendation A brief discussion ensued regarding the 10ft fence option that was mentioned by Commissioner Anderson at the last PPSARC regular meeting. For For Mr. Wappes spoke regarding the PRESENTATIONS: Available upon request section for adding photos and an outline. It was agreed to continue as is for now. Discussion ensued regarding extending of the PPSARC committee and the spaces on Beach Ave. north of 19th Street. ADJOURNMENT Meeting adjourned at 10:10 AM.
