Planning Organization
The First Coast Metropolitan Planning Organization (FCMPO) is developing the
Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for Fiscal Years 2002/2003 through
2006/2007. The TIP identifies all publicly funded highway and transit projects within the
Jacksonville Urbanized Area. These include projects planned and programmed by the Florida
Department of Transportation, City of Jacksonville, Jacksonville Transportation Authority,
Jacksonville Airport Authority, and the Cities of Atlantic Beach, Baldwin, Jacksonville,
Jacksonville Beach, and Neptune Beach, the Town of Orange Park, and Clay and St. Johns
Counties.
To increase public involvement in the development of the TIP and to inform the Council as to
what is planned and programmed for the area, I would like to make a brief presentation at your
March 25, 2002 Meeting. I will limit my discussion to projects in your area, and will be happy
to answer any questions. The presentation should take no more than fifteen minutes.
