BEAM food assistance programs help low-income households stretch limited resources by providing access to food including fresh produce from our Grace Garden and high quality protein delivered from our Food Bank. More than 457 households in Atlantic Beach made over 1,700 visits to one of BEAM's food pantries in the past 12 months, accessing more than the equivalent of 125,000 meals. Additionally, BEAM supplied food to distribution events at Mayport Elementary, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the USO. Nearly 200 households were provided with rent or utility assistance totaling more than $86,000. BEAM is grateful for the incredible support and partnerships with individuals, civic groups, businesses and local governments, that allows us to provide these needed services. We request that the City consider support for BEAM in your current plans.
