We need to get the public hearing dates scheduled. It has been almost five months since the application went to the CD Board. We have met with Paul, and discussed changes they may make on several occasions. I have not heard from Paul in several weeks. Unless there is a compelling reason not to proceed, we will schedule Tuesday, May 28th and Monday, June 10th as hearing dates, and I will present the recommendations that were made by the CD Board. Paul Danese called me this morning and had a few minor concerns. One was related to the sign issue (f. ) He said he was required by FCC to have certain signage on the tower. My suggestion would be to ask the Commission for signage limited to that required by FCC regulations, and then some small additional amount, maybe 12 square feet. I also discussed landscaping with him, and advised that Chapter 24-177 authorizes some administrative flexibility. I think what the CDB wanted was to see as much landscaping as feasible given the constraints of the site. A final concern I had after talking with Paul was related to the wetland fill restriction. He said there were already permits to fill some area of wetlands. I was not aware that there was any fill proposed -or work already permitted- on the radio station property. Do you know about this? . .and is this fill going to be done on the radio station property, or is it JTA or DOT work? I also told him that any valid permits that he has previously received are still valid, but I don't want any terms included in the ordinance that might be in conflict with those permits.
